Who we are and what this covers

Drawriors is made by Taoftware LLC ("Taoftware", "we", "us"). This policy covers the Drawriors game played in a web browser at drawriors.com, the Drawriors apps for iPhone, iPad and Android when they are released, and this website, drawriors.taoftware.com (together, "Drawriors").

What stays on your device

Everything you make and earn in Drawriors is saved on your own device: the players you add (with the nickname you type), your drawings and creatures, coins, gems, items, trophies and settings. In the web game this uses your browser's storage (IndexedDB and local storage); in the apps it uses the app's own storage. We cannot see this data. Turning your drawing into a 3D creature, its animations and the computer opponents all run on your device.

Tip: a nickname doesn't need to be a real name. We suggest children use a made-up one.

When game data leaves your device

Only when you use one of these optional features:

• Cloud sync. When you turn on sync, your players (nickname, colour, coins, gems, items, wins and losses) and creatures (including drawings) are stored on our servers, linked only to a random secret sync code, not to an email address or account. Anyone with the code can load that data, so treat it like a password. It is kept until you choose Delete cloud data in Saves & backups.
• Online fights. When you play in an online room, your nickname and the creature you fight with are passed through our server to the other players in that room. Our server only relays the fight and doesn't keep these messages after the fight.
• Share links. When you share a creature, we store a copy of its drawing, type, skin, stats and gear, plus a picture for link previews. It gets a randomly made-up name; your nickname and the creature's own name are never sent. Anyone with the link can see the creature and fight it. We count wins and losses using a random device number, not who you are. A link stays up until you choose Stop sharing, and it is hidden automatically if several players report it.

Purchases

Drawriors is free to play. If optional purchases (such as gems) are offered, they are protected by a grown-up check. In the apps, the purchase is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play; on the web, by a payment provider. They process your payment details under their own privacy policies. We only receive what's needed to deliver the item, such as the product and a transaction number, never your card details.

Technical information

Drawriors and this website are hosted by Cloudflare, which delivers and protects them and may process technical request data such as IP addresses, browser or device type and request times. We use this only to run and secure the service, not to identify or profile players. We don't set our own cookies, and we don't use advertising, analytics or tracking tools. The game uses your device's storage only for your save and settings. A random device number is used for sync bookkeeping and share-link tallies; it doesn't identify you.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent any data, and we don't share it for advertising.
• We don't show ads or use tracking, analytics or advertising tools.
• We don't use AI tools or AI services, and we don't send drawings to any.
• We don't ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos. The apps only need internet access, for the optional online features.

Children

Drawriors is made for kids. It's designed so that children can play without giving us any personal information: there are no accounts, no email addresses and no chat. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has shared personal information with us (for example, in a nickname or a shared drawing), contact us and we will delete it.

The apps

The iPhone, iPad and Android apps work the same way as the web game, with the same optional features. Apple and Google handle downloads, updates and any purchases under their own privacy policies. If an app ever works differently from what this policy says, we will update this policy before that version is released.

Your choices and deleting data

• On your device: delete players or creatures in the game, or clear the browser's site data or the app's data (or uninstall the app) to remove everything.
• Cloud sync: choose Delete cloud data in Saves & backups. This deletes the cloud copy and makes the sync code stop working.
• Share links: choose Stop sharing on the creature.
• Ask us: email support@taoftware.com. Because we don't know who you are, include the sync code or share link you want deleted.

Security and where data is stored

Data sent to our servers travels over encrypted connections and is stored with Cloudflare, which may process it in different countries. Sync codes are long and random, but anyone who has yours can load your synced game, so keep it private.

This website

drawriors.taoftware.com has no forms, accounts, cookies, ads or trackers. Its fonts, images and the promo video are served from the site itself.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change affects what data leaves your device, we will say so in the game before it applies.
